Ce jeu est la suite de The Legend of Zelda : Breath of the Wild. Le joueur doit parcourir les vastes paysages de Hyrule et des îles flottantes dans le ciel en utilisant de nouvelles capacités de Link pour lutter contre des forces maléfiques menaçant le royaume.
